
Bethany LaShell is a professional writer, copy editor, tutor, former college professor and high school teacher, veteran homeschooler, and speaker. In her BC (before children) days, Bethany was a social worker and still loves to help people.
Homeschooling, tutoring, teaching small classes, and teaching GED classes consumed Bethany’s time from 1999-2013. From 2011-2016, Bethany taught English and communication classes part time at various local colleges. She transitioned to full-time high school classes in 2016, but she is now back to editing, writing, and tutoring.
Bethany has written 1 book, 5 e-books, contributed regularly to Heart of the Matter Online, had a regular column in the Home School Enrichment magazine, wrote ebooks and articles for The Old Schoolhouse, and occasionally writes for other magazines, websites, and newsletters. In addition, Bethany has edited books for a variety of publishers and has spoken at various homeschool conferences.
She lives in South Carolina with her cats where she enjoys kayaking, hiking, music, and hanging out with friends while she waits for her kids to come to visit.
