Day 10 of Organization ~ On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!

Although this is the last day of HOTM’s fabulous 10 Days of Homeschooling Blog Hop, this isn’t the last of organization tips! I’ve been encouraged by all of your comments; usually I answer each one personally and I promise I’ll get back to that next week :-). Many of you have said you’re going to start organizing using one of the tips you’ve read here. Have you started yet? If not, it’s time to get moving! Choose somewhere to start and just do it!

The key to planning, scheduling, and organizing is to keep up with it. Just do a little bit at a time and be persistent; you will get there! Another key is to train your children to put papers where they belong and to return toys, books, etc. where the belong. If you read yesterday’s post about my daughter’s overdue library books, you know that it’s hard to do and it doesn’t always sink in, but give it a shot and be consistent.

Let’s end this series with a few Bible verses for additional encouragement. “But all things should be done decently and in order” (I Cor. 14:40). “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established” (Prov. 16:3). “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Prov. 22:6).

On your mark, get set, organize! You can do it!
